UPDATE to our list of upcoming books -- into June, 2010

Hello! I have updated the list of our upcoming selections (on the right-hand side of the page). Honeymoon in Tehran has been moved to June, and two new books have been added in. I will be making new bookmarks shortly, which will be available at the Reference Desk or the RA Desk in a few days.

December's book: Hands of My Father by Myron Uhlberg

December's book is: Hands of My Father by Myron Uhlberg. Uhlberg writes a stirring memoir of his childhood as the hearing son of two deaf parents. His first language was sign, and from the age of 5, he was his father’s “interpreter” to the hearing world. Not an easy task, considering that in the 1930s, the deaf were either treated with impatience or indifference, or simply ignored.

The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher --- what's it about ?????

So, what are we reading in October? Kate Summerscale's The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher.
